So i've almost finished assembling my new turbo setup and am just getting a few other things in order before I slap it in the car. I'd really like to drop my diff ratio a bit as the 4.3's are fun, but really just a bit too short for stirring trouble!
I'm thinking 3.9 or 3.6 would be great and am aware they're available in the 1.8diff, but there's no chance of me going that way. I've already got a mechanical lsd center and 3 spare diffs, so that suggestion will be ignored!
Is there an auto diff that's lower??

Wow nothing!???
I must say i'm rather surprised after 24hrs! Are there any actual car enthusiasts on this forum or is it more of a poser type thing?

Re: Lowest NA6 Diff Ratio..???
I actually had a good think and looked in all my usual places but couldnt come up with anything. Short of ringing a company or posting on another site, which im sure you can do on your own ive no idea. I know that i have a pile of dead ones in the shed from n/a power though!

This should answer your question:

The 1990-93 rear had 4.30:1 gears and there are no factory alternate ratio's available (an aftermarket 4.875 ratio is available).

Just courious. You went turbo. & bought 3 spare NA6 diffs?
Even with a stock standard B6 engine. Its not much trouble snapping your diff with just a simple clutch & grippy tyre upgrade.
But I will not suggest a 1.8 upgrade. I'll just get ingored.

Re: Lowest NA6 Diff Ratio..???
Cheers for the replies guys! Some good links with some nice info there!
I've got the spare 1.6 diffs and driveshafts from just collecting spare rear ends and I did a reshell once, so spares galore!! So it looks like i'll have to persevere with the 4.3's for now and once I start busting things I can slap something together
It's interesting to see how interchangeable the RX7 gearsets, diffs and driveshafts are with a few swaps here and there! Quite handy considering i've got a few spare gearbox's and rear ends here thanks to the 13bpp Hotrod i'm building!
