Sunday? I really should! Let's discuss!
Is this requiring more than a change of brake fluid and some decent tyres?

Re: Bizi gets Mrs Bizi a Clubman!
I've checked my car into Mania this Wednesday for a once over, and will go for an alignment at the Goodyear shop as well.
Depends on the condition of all the bits? Will run my current tyres that came with the car - Federal 595s.
Unfortunately I need to run in modified class because of my exhaust...oh well, not there for a race anyway!

Got yellowspeeds?
Thought of using Spinning Wheel for a specialist and highly praised alignment?

Yeh, forget about alignments at a tyre place. You're more likely to get it done properly at a suspension specialist, like Spinning Wheel, Pedders, etc.

Impromptu meet at my place! PM me!
Hi,
Anyone free to meet at my place? Thornleigh, PM or txt me for the address. I have decent coffee and sunshine!
Just waiting for a mate to do some wheel changes. Beware Pennant Hills Rd headed west is jammed due to an accident, so roads to Thornleigh could also be jammed...
I am hoping to visit a couple of forum members today to collect some MX5 bits, too.

If you've not already sorted this, twist the mirror head cover clockwise or anti-clockwise, as necessary, to give access to the two screws securing the mirror base mount to the door, then just tighten the screws.
It seems to be an issue with some kind of impact affecting the holes where the screws are, rather than the mirror or the screws (which all seem fine).
OK - from feeling around inside the door of the Clubman I sold last year, there are two tabs below the mirror, which I think hold the nuts which the mirror outside Phillips-head screws screw into.
I was able to tighten the mirror on that one by simply tightening the two outside screws, but it sounds like one or both tabs inside the door might have loosened. I think the tabs are spot welded on.

Thanks for this. I probably won't do this tomorrow, unless I get some help from someone after/during the BreakFast Club run - but will bring a couple of screwdrivers just in case.
I had some great MX5 guys visit today and have been inspired by their work on their NAs.

Some pics tomorrow and a bit of news: a mate helped me transform the car's handling via a 24kg reduction to unsprung weight!
I didn't think that a change of wheels would be such a dramatic change.
16x7.5 205/45 -> 15x6.5 195/50
= 20kg - > 14kg x4
= -24kg!

Thanks to the organisers and everyone involved in the Sunday BreakFast Club and the lunch yesterday.
So many great things, between the company of driving enthusiasts, sharing our great cars, roads and the weather, which even a few grumpy people on the roads couldn't dampen.
Clubman Bizi has joined the white shoe brigade. So it is taking a break at a wino place, which is what I imagine white shoe people do when they can. ;)

Not much to report.
Met gyro pilot at PITS today and got his news and his opinion of the Clubman.
Gave him a demo of Hayden's tail happy driving style on that big arse corner coming up from Brookylyn to PITS. Fun to get some drifting!
I missed out on some Victorian NA8 wheels and new Pirelli tyres today, so am losing hope of finding OE looking 14s for the car. The 15x6.5 Lenso Racer wheels are great, though. Kuhmo rubber is surprisingly good too.
So the mod of the day. To celebrate the recent cold weather, I turned my ring blue!

Anyone have an opinion on old school muscle car wheels on my white Clubman?
These just remind me of a white A9X with the flares and drop tank!
