Photo-shoot night. Charge-up your batteries you *geeks* :P
Hey all, kinda half-assed attempted to organise a photo-shoot night a while back without any success.
Now let's try a full-ass effort.
- I'm thinking of Friday 17th or 24th,
- at a time convenient for all of us, say 7:30pm.
- As for location, I reckon we all suggest several places within a 20min drive from the CBD, and choose a couple from the list. Think of any places you can with lots of lighting, funky backgrounds, etc.
And if we have time afterward, coffee 'n' lies.
How does that sound?
I'm hoping to get at least the usual suspects, but also those who aren't interested in our mountain jaunts to come out as well.
I'll start a list (copy, paste & add your suggestions):
- Mount Gravatt Lookout
- Fruitgrove train station (LOTS of lights)
- Kangaroo Point (top and bottom of cliffs, and under Story Bridge)
- new industrial estates just before Browns Plains (brand new, clean, deserted streets)
- Weller's Hill (steep & wide parking area, but no lights)

Yup, Browns Plains' new industrial park, off Logan Motorway, is huge.
It'll be great if you can make it Dale!
If we decide on a southside location, it's only a 40min drive from GC (probably faster due to lack of traffic at night), and easy to navigate to. Even if we decide on a more northern locale, you can come to my place first (easy to find) and we'll go together to wherever we decide upon.

My cousin is a photographer and he took this photo of his Nissan Silvia, it was on a crest of a hill overlooking the city with the shot taken so the centre of the photo was straight under the body and it looked like it was ontop of the road. Looked brilliant.

Okay, let's make it for this Friday 17th June.
Meet at 7:00pm at University Drive, Griffith University (Nathan Campus), at the roundabout just from the M1 on-ramp where Mains Rd ends:

I will scout out the southern locations to check for adequate lighting.
Old Dude, if you are coming, send me a PM.

Update
I just went to look at the places I mentioned and only two (besides Kangaroo Point) are suitable.
- Mt Gravatt Lookout has flood lights, we can arrange the cars in a fan pattern, and also park them right at the edge of the road with the City in the background.
- Fruitgrove station, should be fairly deserted so we can arrange cars in many different ways.
We will still meet at the aforementioned place and time: Griffith Uni (Nathan) near M1 on-ramp, at 7:00.
I will try to bring a 2-step ladder.
