Best rims for NA's

That's why im asking for what people believe to be the best rims for an NA....

949Racing 6ULs in 15x7.

Cost less, look better, lighter, clear big brakes. Good luck finding anything else for under US$130 a rim that ticks all of those boxes.

If you think you might track the car eventually then get the 15x8s.

Perhaps someone knows of a cheaper option to send those wheels and tyres over here.

I was wondering if they intended to send the tyres on each wheel or all separately? You could ask R-Speed if maybe the wheels alone would be ok for Aus Post size restrictions and get some tyres locally? I'm assuming they are meaning at 4 individual items (4x a wheel with a tyre on it)... perhaps the wheels alone will be ok to send.

Since e-go has really good rates within Australia - do they offer an international service?

How about a no frills freighter? Does Jesse Streeter do US as well as Yahoo Japan - or is there someone similar, who does smaller US parts that they send in containers back to Australia? Like a muscle car importer?

Hope this helps. Surely right now with many people buying parts from the US, there may be more options than just UPS.

They refunded my money and have put a disclaimer on their products.
It seems that Australia Post are the ones causing the problem.

Don't know about tyre rack. Might look it up, but hoping that i can get these wheels and tyres together. Wheels are cheap from them compared to here in Aus.

If you are happy with 8kilo wheels you only care about looks and as such that question would be 'what in your own opinion are the best looking wheels for an na?'.

What makes a wheel good, is its
-weight
-fitment
-brake clearance
-price and availabiility

After that you decide if it looks ok, which 6uls do.

I am a big fan of function > form when it comes to wheels, and unsprung weight is also a positive contributing factor for MX5's

not only does weight slow your acceleration, it slows your deceleration just as much, and due to unsprung weight affects actual grip AND comfort.

Speaking of wheels... Dann do you have a set of 6ul's? I'm about 6 weeks away from my new set of SSR wheels from Japan (they are nuclear powered to go faster). I have opted for the lightest set i could find, current wheels are 7kg each, and i'm hoping to half this weight.

nah I dont have the cash for the tyres. ill get 9 or 10 inch 6uls when I do though.

I have 16 inch SSR professors for daily use, cos they weigh very little for SUCH A GOOD LOOKING WHEEL... oh drool.
Wrapped in all season rim protectors.

It's funny when you surprise yourself with changes, my TSI changed the whole look of my car.

Ahhhh, Quidi's old car, i have dríven this, it was very, very stiff. I personally preferred the rough JDM look he had going going on it. Each to their own though
