Thanks for the tips on the Roll Bar, as I myself plan to fit NB soft-top with glass in the future, I should definitely invest in a NB bar over a NA bar if it comes to that.

So an NB bar will bolt straight into an NA but accommodates for the glass-window soft top?

Thanks Chuppa.

These lights were originally sold by I.L. Motor Sport in Germany, they were near $200. These are what i had on my previous car.

Here is the link to them: http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=180675902064#ht_6771wt_1141

Good idea. The NB roof will simply not fold down all the way. If you have never used an NB soft top, go and find someone with an NB and have a look how it folds down, then you will see how the bar style needs to change. :D

It sure will, it has all the same mounting points.

My BD bar is an NB bar and I had no problems what so ever fitting it to my NA8.
The NB bar is designed so the glass window can be folded and sit flat on the parcel shelf, the NA bar obstructs the window.
Though personally, I just think the NB bar looks better so I went with that =)

Well what I did was...

"Hi Simone, I would love to get an NB BD Bar please!"
"No worries Alex, we'll call you when it's in."

Two short days later...

"Hi Alex, your roll bar is here!"
"AWESOME, I'll be there in 15mins"

Drive, pay, take bar home, realise the packaged bar is an NA bar and that BD had sent Mania the wrong bar..
Back to Mania and they sort it out for me, lightning fast.

Next day..

"Hi Alex, NB BD bar is in!!!!"
"YAY..!"

Drive, pick up, take home, fit with other Alex, then to FnC.

And everyone lived happily ever after. . .

THE END

QTF..!

Easy install. I was just not so keen on drilling into my car, so I let Alex do that for me =)

Maki is doing fantastically, many plans are falling into place. RB1 bar is here, some pretty awesome suspension is here, some interesting new interior parts are here... just waiting for my panel beater to have some free time and a few little parts.

It's a special day today!

The car is running well with the new motor, I got to take it on a run through some great roads yesterday with a number of guys from here. We went all the way to Warburton and were greeted with some stunning views and roads. We then made our way back to Sandown Raceway to spectate while the MX5 club set some great times. Pics to come.
