Closure of MX5 Club of Queensland Forum

I see from the QLD club website that the decision has been made to close down the forum and to use the Auscartalk forum as a replacement. I generally agree with removing the duplicity this caused and I'm sure it will remove some confusion about where information is stored. However, I'm wondering what is going to happen to the information that existed ...has it been scrapped, or are there plans to copy over the previous threads. I'd hate to think it will just evaporate into the ether never to be seen again. What's the plan, Administrator?

I haven't been on the Qld forum for a couple of years, but back then, hardly anyone used it.
It's unfortunate, but, not trying to sound too cynical, no big loss.

Do you think the club needs a club-specific section viewable only to members? I don't know how hard that would be to administer!
