This is looking amazing! I'm jealous of the wheels. I'm surprised you got 9" on there without looking like a beach buggy. Loving the Safety 21, have you had any trouble with defects though? I'd like to put in a cage eventually but I've so many people booked for it

Thanks mate Yeh the wheels are my favourite part of the car now. The cage is my second I got pulled over before christmas and got defected for the wheels and height. I modplated my cage and the seat so its all legal here in queensland
Im not sure about nsw though. Anyways in other news my car is back to being high again. its about 130mm off the ground due to the muffler hanging down lower. Big change from 60mm off the ground lol
Also got my intercooler in.
Remaining parts list:
Oil cooler setup(custom)
440 cc injectors, walbro fuel pump and fuel regulator.
NB6 Motor
Os giken super single clutch with lightweight flywheel (Put a deposit on it)
1.8 diff setup with 4.3 torsen.
Coolant re route.
Plumbing and guages
still a fair bit but im in no rush Also would love a racepack dash setup but thats just getting picky i think will update with pics when i get my internet back on

Re: charlie's na6
update sorta lol:
So over the last couple of weeks ive gone through a bit.. went through the stages of wanting to sell the car alot due to the fact that it looked stock again and i hated it.. also it dawned upon me theres still alot to buy for this turbo setup and i just cbf to tell you the truth.
Wasnt until i had a spare day so i got the car up, lowered the coils to more then they were before, put my equips back on and just doing that made me happy again .. no way could i sell it now.
So i was back into it, researching parts, making deals and looking for new ideas. I now have intercooler piping organised, hks ssbov, and intake pipe. Also have made the decision to get some feed side skirts, fd diffuser and re do the guage cluster with some kg works stuff
But seeing as i now have no license, this will all come in due time, ill save up the money and just knock parts off one at a time. Also due to the floods up here i havent yet been back at work since december 22 2010 so money is not in abundance.
Hoping to have everything back on track within the next couple of weeks.. then the main turbo stuff will start happening, ie. clutch, fuel system, engine and diff.
Ill take some pics tomoro to show you how it looks as well.

Re: charlie's na6
So its been a while since i have updated this thread.. There has been plenty going on with my car ;) Since my last update i have bought engine, clutch, mounts, defi display, fuel system coolant re route and a few other things here and there.. Cant quite remember
So around mid april i took my car down to automotive plus to take out the engine and pull apart my nb6 motor to check everything is all good
When pulling it apart i noticed there was a slight leak from the head gasket so i thought since the head was off that i can put some cams in the motor. So i went on yahoo japan and bought some toda cams. These were fitted to my head and then was put back together with a cometic head gasket and arp stud kit. I have gone on to replace every single seal in the motor because at the end of the day i dont want to be losing oil lol During this time i powdercoated and cut my valve cover to expose the cam gears for tuning.
All the lines on the turbo kit were ok but again it wasnt really something i would want to leave to chance. So i bought some speedflow fittings and redid the coolant and oil lines going to the turbo. Once all that was together i got a rear thermostat spacer from automotive plus and made a coolant re route just to make sure it wasnt gonna overheat. Which brings me to around today.. The motor is back in the car and ready to have the haltech sprint 500, wideband, boost gauge and defi display wired up. Then there will be a new exhaust being made up for the car and it 'should' be ready to start and send off for tuning.
In other car news that isnt motor related i have bought a few new parts.. One main one being an fd rear diffuser that i will make fit on the rear bar, feed style side skirts and an old set of bbs rs's that i am re lipping and widening for my car. So yeah, Im sure i left out a lot of things but yeah this is all the main stuff..
Anyways heres a pic compilation of whats been happening haha
Diffuser
heres a couple pics of mock up
Engine Stuff
Defi link display and sensors in
pics of the wheels i have
bbs
Hayashi reps
Towards the end of engine stuff
Motor done
Motor in the car (Note the ls2 coils on the windscreen )
Ill try and keep updating throughout
Cheers fellas

Converted to NB8B BP engine? Looks like some serious money spent there.
Will you be bringing it out to the track days?

Re: charlie's na6
Why the built bottom end with a tiny 2554, even if you welded the wastegate closed on an optimised setup it couldnt bend the rods.
Ive got a 2554 for mine and A built bottom end but its built so I can rev it to 8500, not for the boost.

Re: charlie's na6
edit: It might be a NB6, but seems to have the variable intake cam? My NB6 motor has all the NA6 gear on it (and then modified so many times it looks nothing like a NA6 or a NB6)...
Curious to see a parts list of what you've got going there.

Re: charlie's na6
The bottom end is not built. Just standard anyways. If I blow it then i forge it and get a bigger turbo. The motor was just apart and the head was sent to get the cams put in
And yes the engine is the an nb6 motor. But since I have a haltech ecu im making it work with the nb stuff. Only difference is the alternator.

Re: charlie's na6
NA8 alternator or did you put the ribbed pulley on a NA6 alternator? What's the black thing on the front of the cam cover?

Re: charlie's na6
I took the pulley from the nb6 alternator and spaced my na6 one to fit the same as the nb6 alternator.
The black thing is the cam position sensor. I didn't want to convert the nb6 motor to run all the na cas etc. Main reason was because I wanted to make use of the better sensors that were available. And having the standalone ecu with the new loom is the only way I could have done this. That's the reason yours looks different
