haha. Cheers. No im just young have a big garage and plenty of tools.

People get disagreeable with my ideas pretty fast on this site. On miataturbo, im not so special. For me, i know that 20 people will suggest an exhaust timing and mania intake. No point me posting if im just another suggesting those things. Ive never told anyone that i know the best way, i just try to provide a perspective that isnt the same old 'what pod filter is best' garbage that gets recycled every week on every car forum.

Id bet i get more pm's than most, by people who want to discuss my ideas away from people who shun anything not available through FM or mania etc

People just need to state their opinion and if OP wants to know more he can ask. If he doesnt want to end up with my car (and 99% dont) he doesnt need to be told how most people keep their windows... Right?

It would be REALLY useful and polite if said OP chimed in here and thanked people for the wide range of advice received, and gave more detail on what s/he was actually intending to do. One post wonders! :roll:

Wise words indeed Lee, i remember asking a similar question on the forum when i bought my NA6. Not sure who responded on the forum but was along the simlar lines. Great thing is if you are on a budget, just do it in stages.
Making an NA6 'go a little better' shopping list;
New leads: $60 - $80'
New plugs: $50
Cold Air Intake: $150 - $250
Cat Back Exhaust: $350 - $400 (don't have to go silly, i got some advice from a 'forumite' went to my local exhaust place and it cost me $350
Extractors: $250 - $350
14' Timing bump: 1 hr of your time and a mates timing light!
Front and rear sway bars: $150 -$200 each, watch the forum or ebay.

Why is he still getting told intake and exhaust? If he didnt already know this before he asked (id be amazed) then he sure knows now after 3 pages of repeating it.

The thread started off vague, and hasn't really gone anywhere. OP hasn't come back to acknowledge the replies posted, so like xmx106 posted, "we dont know if he can swing a spanner or do up his own shoe laces".

It seems kinda stupid that the title of the thread is "best way to make power from a 1.6" yet OP mentioned engine transplants...
