its official the cold side one i saw previously has disappeared from the internet :(

err... that's an NC intake......

i remember roadster garage had an intake that was plumbed right behind the radiator. custom made.
i can't brain today.. i have the dumb..

yea that's right.

best one iv seen is that jackson racing one though from what i recall it only for na's

don't think that JR makes that intake for NBs. IL makes a similar one that looks less efficient so not sure if it'sworth the $$$

I'm not convinced Dan is right.... There is an air gap where air would be sucked from in front of the radiator. Both cold and high pressure. If it was sucking from a hole (flush with bonnet) it would then be low pressure...but it isn't.

BTW I've got one so I could be either biased or just correct.... I can't tell.

i like the idea of intake down low and far from headers also not close to cabin as i dont want any added noise (old man side of me talking) lol

The best intake would be a duct in front of the radiator, making a cold very high pressure zone, then you plumb a sealed pipe into it.
The cowl ones work genuinely as they are in a cold high pressure area. jackson racing ones I am just not convinced that because its professionally made that it works.

i agree something down low would be great though looks like there are no "of the rack" products as such, probably because CAI's only increase HP by very small amounts but ill take what i can get eh

you don't want a short intake like that. you want to INCREASE the volume of air between the filter and the throttle body in order to improve mid range torque & throttle response. google/search for the arc intake chamber.

not sure if you remember the intake on my old car, but when i replaced the stock cross pipe behind the radiator with an enlarged version from mania, mid range torque improved noticeably on the butt dyno.

that shorty cold side one you listed is the same as the autoexe (except the autoexe has a CF cowl).
HKS also make a short cold side intake. try looking it up on importmonster.

like locutus says. do not go down the short cold side.

and yes, it is noticeable.
i can't brain today.. i have the dumb..
