It's another event i'm going to miss, i'll be at Targa South West.

Been way too long since I did a club motorsport event.
If you had access to a car like this, would you take it back right away? Neither would I.

When the Newcastle club was actually able to get a venue, we used to be able to. Now the only people that can get a motorkhana venue are the Hunter club, and they're under strict rules which they have to follow if they want to keep using it.

We are lucky with our venue, but we/I still have to respect the venue, the club and the members, so we don't loose the venue.
-- There are times when other events are on at the venue and the more flamboyant style has to be toned down.
-- Getting the car repeatedly onto the grass and appearing out of control is also kept in check.

I am not implying that others have been problematic to venues or out of control, I am just stating our situation and that there are limits also at our venue.

The relationship with the venue is paramount

I did not really take much notice to be honnest, Sunday was more fun orientated this time, especially with others on their R-comps - My R-comps are pretty much slicks now :(

Nice one Simon, I think all eyes were on you (including the motorbike guys!) every time you hit the track, very entertaining stuff and some great car control.

Will you be bringing new tyres to the sprint on 6 June?

I will have my new coilovers installed and I'm keen to see how close I can get to you!
