obdii and our cars

ok i bought a EOBD/OBDII reader..
where the fk is the port for it -.- i checked where the fuse box is and where passenger side footwell. Nothing..

My car is a 2001 MODEL so from my understanding it should be OBDII, Am i suppose to get an adapter or something because i dont see any standard OBDII ports.. ?

OBDII was fitted to our NB8s in '02:

FML -.- lol

And i assume UK, American models and JAPANESE models all in 01 cause all over the net MIATA + OBDII is 01 i guess in Australia as usual were delayed lol

Believe US got OBDII early '96 after Mazda Japan introduced a new ECU in Aug '95. Not sure when UK got OBDII fully implemented, but assume Japan got it when Mazda intro'd the aforementioned ECU.
