Guys
I haven't dríven my car for several years. Besides the monthly start up, warm up and odd shuffle around the garage the mx5 has not ventured out for at least two years. A few months a go i went to shift it and the clutch pedal went to the floor. I Without investigating too much, and since i had a new clutch slave cylinder lying around, i change it as there's prob a 50/50 chance that it could be the reason why there is no pedal. After bleeding the clutch it seemed OK on the day. However a week later i have no clutch pedal again. Do you think it might be my master cylinder? Should i get a new one or just a master cylinder kit?
Thanks in anticipation Randall

Re: Source of possible clutch fluid leak.
Check your slave... again... before you check anything else.
Old slaves that have been sitting around have a tendency to last a week and die.
Reconditioned slaves that are not done right do not last much longer...
If it was a new OEM slave, i'd still check it first ;) Easy to do, just reach under and pull the boot on the slave back.

Re: Source of possible clutch fluid leak.
My clutch master lasted around 150 k km then died along with the seccond clutch slave. (I find clutch slave last around 75-80 k km)
I should have replaced it early it a very easy job and a leaking master usually means the paint will have been stripped off your firewall
