Is there something wrong with your current engine?
As someone with a 1.8 in my NA6, I'd say it wasn't worth the hassle unless the engine was already busted or you had significantly bigger goals in mind than just the swap itself.

If you buy locally you will get support from the supplier and info. USA - good luck - any probs or returns etc - what a pain. If you have a question of Mania call them and talk to them about any concerns. I guess you know that changing an engine requires a formal approach to registration authorities etc.

According to the web site the MX5 Mania kit contains: FM Coil Pack Bracket, Accelerator Cable Bracket & Throttle Body Adapter, while the FM kit contains: coil bracket, throttle cable bracket, throttle body adaptor kit, motor mount brackets, EGR plate kit, & electrical parts needed to extend your CAS wiring.

So if you're 1.8 motor came with its motor mount brackets, they won't be required. Depending on which market, i.e. Japanese, Australian, US, UK etc, your 1.8 motor is from you may need the EGR blanking plate. Later US DM certainly did, but check the intake manifold of your 1.8 motor. CAS wiring extension, if required, is easily replicated. As MM suggests, just give MX5 Mania a call if you need any of the other parts as they've got lots of stuff.

Once again... as above, just an exhaust will do.
