Hey Guys
My NA8 with Yellowspeed Coilovers (which have been in the car for about 8 months) has started making a very loud and violent clunking noise when i turn hard left over bumps (out of my driveway).
I have it booked in with my mechanic tomorrow and he seems quite concerned by it. Though will not give me a clue what it might be. Is it likely to be a worn bush? power steering pump? steering rack? the coilovers?
Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Could be a few things, but I'd start by checking that everything is still torqued up correctly under there. I've generally found my clunks have been from nuts that have come loose. I Loctited them a while back and all has been fine since.

I sure hope that is all it is. Fingers crossed my mechanic won't make it out to be more to get more money from me.

if it's a constant clunking/clicking noise at any speed, and is speed-related, then I'd say CV's

Noob question; how do you check them? Do you just pull them around to check for freeplay?

Jack the vehicle up under the lower control arm ( this unloads the ball joints and places them in there normal ride position, where the wear will be) , have some one with a light watch while you wiggle the wheel side to side and up and down .
I would have a close look at the sway bar links and mounts
