The item you are after is a 'brake master cylinder bracket'. If your MX is automatic, it may be different. The one I have is for a manual.

You can have mine for $75 including postage.
E-mail me if you are interested.

Aiight well i got the accel fixed

I ended up biting the bullet and paying for it to be replaced..

Correction on the bracket, it was $191.95

Costs:
Accel bracket: 191.95
Labor form mazda themselves for 2 hrs: 220
Total = approx $400 for the replacement of an accelerator.

GG... T_T

Ouch..! But at least it's fixed =) 2 hours labour would be about right for someone who's done something like that before.

Well mines only cracked, so for a temporary solution I shoved half a doorstop behind it, works a treat really. I know its dodgy, but then again without it would be worse.

NA Accelerator Bracket replacement in Melbourne

I've had to replace mine a few months ago as well. Not a fun job but if you follow bensale's instructions you should be sweet.

Yeah Lou sorted me with a spare pedal box last time - $50 is a bargain if you haven't realised.

I'm free all week, so if you need a hand swapping it over just send me a PM ;)
