St Ives 5's - The cooler one :)

Postby ekavaz » Wed May 11, 2011 11:21 pm

Ok I've been meaning to start this thread for a while now and since a few members have spotted me out there I should probably introduce my pride and joy:

The plan is to turbo the 1.6. Shooting for just over 200hp, should be fun :)
I have slowly been accumulating parts. I'll try and take as many photos as i can of the build and keep the thread up to date. I hope you guys like it!!

Here's what she looked like when i first got her:

First thing to go were the shocks, I replaced the originals with YSR street version's.

I set the suspension to the ride height mania suggested, they said this should be somewhere between standard and slammed. Not sure what they considered salmmed haha. Definitely looks good though :)

Another legendary St Ives 5's thread! So i caught a glimpse of your front wheels off on the weekend, where you fiddling around?

We need to get a lock on one thread and just keep with it.

I'm loving that twins shot, behind Church Point.

I bet you would see a number of fives along that road, along with a lot of bikes. I hope to join you there some time. Wish I had a house just behind there. :)

Nice pictures, I recognise the one with the 6ul's more since it's been parked near Gordon station for the past week or so during the daytime.

We should get all the red mx5's together for a group shot :)

Yeh

A group pic with a whole bunch of red 5's would be sweet. I'm planning on heading to MB this wed if anyone else is able to make it

When I get my car back I'll arrange to do a photo shoot at Akuna Bay after an MB meet.. similar to something we did last year.

Last week at MB (opposite Max Brenner at St Ives, on the corner of Stanley St & Mona Vale Rd, if anyone's wondering) it was bloody cold, so what time will it have a few fast red fives?

I hope to be there in the Jetta but will confirm on Wed.

Will anyone who is bringing their car have coilovers installed?
