Power Window Auto UP AND DOWN

Postby dave2221 » Tue May 10, 2011 4:46 pm

Anyone know of a Mazda which has the same sort of window switches as a NB that do AUTO UP AND DOWN?

Want to swap the switches around so i can do the windows easy when putting roof up and down.

Cheers....

I think this kit only puts the windows up but i'm sure there's an after market kit that will do what you want.
If you had access to a car like this, would you take it back right away? Neither would I.

thanks but not quite what i was looking for

On my NB, the drivers window has auto down and the passengers does not

it is my undestanding if i buy a 2nd drivers switch, and replace it with the passengers switch they will now both be auto down....

so what i am asking, is there any later model mazda, which has interchangable switches, that do the auto up and auto down?

or am i barking up the wrong tree?

If you pull apart your existing window switch, you'll see on the circuit board that the driver-side switch has a lot more components associated with it to control the Auto functionality. Both physical switches are connected to the same circuit board so you cannot simply swap in another driver-side switch.

It wasn't on early NBs but you can buy the later NB switch to add the drivers side function.

guys

i think this is the part i have been looking for:

it converts your standard buttons to auto up/down, and also allows them to go up when you lock the car..... nice

i have contacted teh seller, and when they reply i might consider ordering a few, if some other people are interested.
