Hi guys,
Urgent question. I cannot figure this out, and have looked at the wiring diagram.
Where do the "interior light system" wires connect to? They are the black and red wire, and the grey and red wire.
The head unit works and so do all the speakers, but the lights on the cluster/Aircon cluster do not work. They do stay on however if I connect the grey and red to constant power.
I have checked all fuses, they are all good. Someone help!!

Have a look at page 4 of this pdf. I can't remember if I connected any interior lights thing to my head unit when I did it...

That totally didn't make sense sorry!!
I've got a similar wiring diagram.
My car is a 2005 SE if that makes any difference.

thats a hard one mate, wouldnt be able to give you a diagram but best i can think of is .. the lights turn on only when headlight/parker switch is flicked on, check the switch that switch has to turn on "interior lights" headlights and parker lights so it should be connected to 3 things? maybe damaged one of the wires or connectors, it'll take a while, Remove the cover behind your steering wheel and take a nice peek.
Never had this problem just tryingto help u figure it out maybe..
Cheers.

Thanks to the few that tried to help
Got it sorted. I'll write it here, in the hope that it will help someone else.
What you had to do was GROUND the GREY/RED wire. The BLACK/RED wire we just left. Everything works, the head unit works, the cluster lights, parking lights everything.
The circuit runs the parking lights, rear parkers, head unit, and Interior light system (ie: cluster lights and air con lights). Somewhere along the line, which caused some problems was that the TAIL fuse blew.
Anyways, hope that helped anyone - just in case people run into the same problem. I should have just bought a harness to be honest.

Just read this thread now.
Didn't I recommend the harness (or harness combination) to you in another thread
Sometimes DIY is not worth the time/effort/stress, especially in this case when the harness makes it simple and it's cheap.
Please post what you did though, all this is good information for others.
