Will the Mania Enlarged Intake System fit?
I've installed a 52mm ASI radiator on my NA6. I'm wondering if the Mania Enlarged Intake System will fit in the space?

Not sure if the thicker rad will require a work around, but the standard NA6 neck which holds the thermostat is different to the NA8, which allows the crosspipe to go over the top, as opposed to the NA6 OEM crosspipe which goes under the neck, will need a work around, unless the crosspipe is shaped to accomodate it.

If you mean crosspipe by the top part where you fill in your anti-freeze, then it's flat. just a tiny bit higher than the beam in front of the radiator. I'll take a picture tomorrow and put it here.

By crosspipe I mean the intake crosspipe, i.e. the chrome intake pipe in this:

egads mentioned he had an issue with his ARC intake pipe when he fitted his 40mm ASI rad:

Finally got around to dropping in the new radiator, a 40mm unit from ASI. Was abit of a tight fit getting it in there, wasn't perfect but managed to work it out. Only real problem I had from it was the fact that the fan mounting points spaced the fans back a lot more than necessary. Meaning my ARC intake could no longer fit. Sucks but better a nicely cooled car than a slightly more flowing one.

Also see first pic in this post (by egads » Tue Dec 14, 2010 11:47 pm) for the crosspipe versus thermostat housing neck & sensor issue that requires a work around.

In that case I guess I'll just stick with the OEM. Smaller area = higher velocity, anyway. So it's about the same.

I believe Mitch fitted his arc intake with the asi radiator. Although he did remove his a/c. So no a/c fan in the way, also hacked off one of the rad fan arms. Perhaps some slimline fans would be another option.

But did he use the 40mm or 50mm radiator? On hindsight I probably shouldn't have gotten the 50mm one...
