I prefer the TRAP dual bulb from rev9 personally

I like the slightly receded look...

Of the two I prefer the Trap ones. However, if I was going to the effort of finding replacement tails they'd be Garage Vary.

They look cheap and nasty, Just like the trailer lights from the old days.

the standard MX5 rear combination lamps are very well designed functional and attractive lamps. These aftermarket units are inferior products and do not stand up on any criteria except being different.

+1

If you went with one of these options you'd have to figure out something for the reverse light (something else you'd have to buy). I have seen people who run these types of rear lights wire their rear number plate lights into reverse however (don't know how effective/legal this would be though).

About as legal as the lights themselves...

I've seen people cut a rectangular hole in the rear finish panel and wire in a generic aftermarket light that way.

Personally, I prefer the OEM than these ones.

I picked up a set of Zoom Engineering Elan lights a few years back, fitted them up for about 20min then took them off. The car looked silly, so I sold them.
