Fastback hardtop
Does anyone on this forum actually know anything about these? I'm just curious because I know there is a 13b mx5 drift car somewhere in the US with a fastback shape hardtop that has boot fittings and ducktail spoiler.
I'm just interested to find out how much these retail in at, where you'd even find one and who actually makes them.
For anyone who hasn't seen what I'm talking about before, I'll throw some links in for you guys!
Anyway, It looks like a very cool idea and beats the hell out of the standard hardtop, it looks very aggressive.

Well I think that's enough pictures, you get the idea! Interested to see what the rest of you lot think and where this would be available from. I've read 'autokonexion' on a few of these tops and also another name I forget now, but it seems like two manufacturers at least make them.

Hmm well seeing as you're in Melbourne that sounds very possible! Upload some pics of progress maybe? Would be good to see how it goes!

I priced one up back when they were new. Would have been just under $4k landed + tax.

It surprised me, that's for sure. There was only a few hundred AUD difference between the landed price of that and their SuperGT kit. Obviously the kit would then cost a hell of a lot more to get fitted, but the comparison was interesting.

Yes, probably not for a while. And i am going to make a replica of the coupe roof now, as it will allow people to enter there car as a coupe, not a convertible. The fast back on my car will be a one off - designed to suit the aero package.

Me too.... Just landed all my other top secret stuff and sea freight was cheap if not fast. Even cheaper if we get 2 of everything and share the cost!

No... still haven't discussed tube diameter with them, or nascar bars with CAMS.

Keen to know more .. but then it wouldn't be secret now would it.
If you had access to a car like this, would you take it back right away? Neither would I.

Are you talking about for car shows or events other than CAMs events? I'm under the impression with CAMS that a convertible with any sort of hardtop mounted is still a convertible?
Cheers,
