Re: Sailor's NC LE
Just back from a little drive after installing the Roadster Sports Q.
Left the tailpipe baffles in and the sound is exactly what an NC should always have sounded like!
Purrrrrrrfect!

Rob,
I'm sitting overlooking Lake Como and thought I'd see what was happening back home.
Now I'm wondering where the hell you bought/found that money tree when you were over here? It seems to be bearing fruit over the last few months.
Just about to head south the the Ferrari factory, do you want me to leave a deposit or my bank details? Red looks good.

Oz dollar just bounced off $US1.07 thought I'd grab the bargains while they're still available.
Enjoy!! I know you will.

Re: Sailor's NC LE
Despite my regular cleaning of the rain drains with my trusty trombone snake,
It appears that the huge downpour that hit Sydney Unis Auburn campus last week overcame the drains abilities.
As a result I have a small pond behind the seats, a pond which my dear wife hadn't noticed until last night
although she did think that she was hearing a water bottle sloshing around in the boot.
I've mopped up the water but I think I'll just bite the bullett, pay the $500 excess and leave the car with a recommended auto electrician who specialises in drying out cars.
Spoke with him this morning and he made noises about airbag sensors and seat rail position sensors getting wet and corroding.
sh*t damn and bugger!

Oh, nice choice! Looking forward to see this result. Rather like the PF01s.
45 offset I presume?

How much water got in? 4 -5 litres?
Sounds to me like your auto electrician is having a lend of you.
"Seat rail position sensors"? Didn't know you have electric memory seat motors.
Put the roof up, wind down the windows halfway and park it in the sun for a few days. That will dry it out.

Re: Sailor's NC LE
About 5 litres each side from behind the seats, another litre of free water from in front of the seats ...she wasn't kidding when she said she heard water sloshing around
Carpets are soaked from back to front including the mats on top.
Haven't looked under the seats but sparks suggested that there are airbag sensors that determine distance of occupied seat back from the airbag,
and that there may be an inertia sensor under there as well.
Frankly the carpets are on the nose and I'll happily pay to have them either removed and steam cleaned or replaced which is what he suggested will probably happen.

Also, did the headers increase sound dramatically?
Good luck
