Black oil - turboed
I'm looking at an SP with low K's (52000) and was impressed until I checked the oil level. It was 5 mm from full and colour was black. Is it normal for a turbo car to blacken the oil quicker than an NA? It's twelve months since oil change but has only done 3000 since then - maybe that's the reason. My NA still has light brown colour at 5000 k's.

Found the solution myself! The dipstick in the 1.6 is shiny so the oil reflects a honey colour. The SP has a black finish on the dipstick so oil looks dirty!

It shouldn't be black IMO.
But 12 months of it sitting there could have that effect. It shouldn't be a problem so long as it's not burning it.
