Hey lightyear, you think you might have it finished to have a crack at World Time Attack in August. I will be going to check it out and would be great to see you running

I don't think it will be done for the world time attack now. I am moving house soon, and need to pack up this house (i have a lot of stuff) and move into the new one. As well as knock down the garage at the new place and build a new garage. There is also the lack of money problem i have. The motor is pretty much done, i have the turbo 6 speed, diff, etc. Still a bit more money to go, $3000 for the computer, $1000 for dyno, couple of grand to finish making the c.f body and aero parts. Maybe another couple of grand for misc bits. So i am about $8,000 short and many hours of spare time. I don't have an income as i am a stay at home dad. And don't have much spare time as i can't just leave him in the garage or the house.

I have 1, my wife. But yes, i do need more sponsorship. Without my wife i would have only about half of it done. She does pay for things that i need when i ask.

Nail a sugar bag to the wall of your workshop and pop him in there. :)
When you turn your car on, does it return the favour?

Good idea, everyone get behind my car so i can be the only mx5 to ever compete at the world time attack. The mx5's surely would get some more cred if it did well.

yes, i will be making a replica of the original nb coupe roof.

I will pay you guys $10 to take you for a lap. Seeing as there is no 2nd seat it would be pretty funny seeing you hold on. I could put a jesus bar in to hold onto.

I'd like to see this as well.. I hope you realise this car will be circulating somewhere in the mid to high 1:40s, and the subsequent G forces this brings...

StuC, The camera should be pointed at yourself ( the passenger) as this would make hilarious footage..

This car will be doing around the 1:40's at P.I. The old car would have done a 1:47-1:48 if i had a chance to take it back one more time after i fitted the c.f doors saving 40kg's, and fitting the torsen diff that would actually get the power down instead of frying one wheel at half throttle waiting for the wheel to stop spinning before i could give full throttle..
