any ideas on where i can get on to a aftermarket 'downpipe only' for an Se. not really after the complete exhaust.

Be aware that the Yanks call the 'FRONT pipe', a 'Down pipe'.
That is, the pipe between the Cat and the cast 'Dump pipe'.
Sometimes including the cat?
