If you saw how out of round and out of true steel wheels are you would never ever consider them(They also weigh to much).
Thought I had heard it all but this takes the cake, There will probably be a post about the new wooden spoke wheels that are all the rage amongst ricers one day. :roll:

Apart from the weight issue, Steel wheels are not round. Alloy wheels are machined whereas the steels are rolled and welded and the runout can make it unable to be balanced

as if it'd make a difference with tires mounted and balanced! they're not bloody square!

a local guy here machines steel wheels after re-banding or re-barreling them.

i wonder if you'd winge about people fitting 17x5" bob jane chromies to an MX5...

i actually just installed a set of widened steelies and painted on my na6
