Hi,
I want to run BP 1.8 details through engine analyser software for 'development'. I need the following inputs from a stock engine for the software:
Bore
Stoke
Valve Diameter (in/ex)
Avg Port Diameter (Can work this out if Port CCs and port length are known), otherwise flow bench data @28 inches for the standard head WOULD BE BRILLIANT.
Compression Ratio
Intake Runner Diameter. Intake Runner Length. Flow bench data for the itake on the head WOULD BE BRILLIANT.
Exhaust. Primary diameter. Primary length.
Camshaft Specs. Lift @ .050, Cetnerline, Duration @ 0.50, Max lobe lift.
Flow bench data for ported heads would be BRILLIANT as it will give me an idea of actual gains made with porting.
ANY LINKS TO FLOW BENCH DATA NOT YOUR OWN WOULD BE GREAT ALSO.
If I can get the above data. I'm happy to share my results on here, or run different cam specs through etc., for you.
Alternatley, if anyone has a junk engine that'd be happy to give or lend me I'll measure and post data here. Cracked/broken blocks and heads are fine for this.
Cheers.

So what are you up to, Dean?
Here's the link to Mazda's technical datasheets. Should have all the factory info you need for the NA8. Let me know if it's NB8 and I'll rummage around for those too.

Not up to anything...yet. ;-)
some of that info helps for sure. Thanks. NB8 also would be great if you have it.

BP-4W (with BP4W VICS head): 98-00 MX5 NB8A;
BP-Z3/ BP-VE (with BP?? VVT head): 00-04 MX5 NB8B & NB8C; &
BP-4W: 04-05 MX5 SE (Turbo).

Here's the NB8B VVT one. Virtually nothing useful for you there though.
The NB8A is pretty similar to the NB8B, i.e. just tune-up specs, not build specs. The full NB8A manual should still be at http://mx5cartalk.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=76&t=37363 and the Technical Data is buried in that.
Have you hunted around http://forum.miata.net and http://www.miataturbo.net/ yet?
