Terrible sound at 3200revs

At about 3200rpm in each gear i get this horrible metal sound and then goes away by 3400. Its as if there is somethign loose....

any ideas?

can you describe the sound?

Sounds like a guard or shield has cracked and at the correct revs it vibrates and makes the noise.

I had a similar problem but it was more like 2000-3000rpm and a grinding/knocking noise. Ended up being that the bolt that holds the pulley wheel on the water pump had seized.

yh, check all the heat shields and guards down the exhaust system for loose and rattling bits.

Check your cat - might be old and the internals have fallen apart (I have a similar problem on my car).
