Yes it's a clarion 900 watt slimline sub wf2510

I think it sounds great. Really punchy and loud and is made for enclosures .4 - .6 ft so is perfect for that size box

Im on to my second battery now. Not upgraded but new from Mazda.
I have never had any trouble in any of my MX5s with batteries. Maybe just lucky so far.

Just running an equivilent battery as the stock standard one

Shouldn't need to upgrade the battery unless you're running a big massive kick arse amp with a few big subs

what amp are you using Bear/Tien. I'm looking at installing one of those slim line subs similar to Bear's.

If you want very light bass and to try something out for me :) lol

Why not go for a 6inch sub, between your seats, sitting where the roof is.
KICKER makes 6" subs, easy to power and im sure they'll give a very nice light bass with no rattle or over 'bassage' lol

I've upgraded to an Optima D51, it's almost identical in size to the original Mazda unit.

Just out of curiosity, do you know what the maximum mounting depth you can fit in that box?

Still contemplating it, but I don't know if my sub will even fit in there.

You could probably go about 125 mm max depending on dia of magnet.

Hey Guys,

I was thinking of mocking up a sub enclosure like the one's you bought on Ebay. They look very neat. Would it at all be possible to get the dimensions of you box?

I can PM if needed

Thanks
