3.9 lsd into a nb8b

Has anybody out there gone to the effort of putting a 3.9 LSD into a NB8B? If so, is it really worth doing? I'm just a daily driver who loves to get up to the twisty, windy roads near Malany, Mapleton Qld. Will it improve my acceration and driveablily that much compared to the 3.6 open diff. which I must say does give me fantasic fuel economy on a trip (under 7 lts per 100k).
