S.E.QLDer wheel help.

Postby project.r.racing » Tue Mar 15, 2011 9:55 am

Hi all,

I'm needing to test fit some 15x8 (+35 to +38 offset) 225/45R15 rims and tyres to a car. Only need to one side of car to judge clearance and width issues for a FWD car. Should take longer than 30 minutes from hello to goodbye. Is there anyone in S.E.QLD that is willing to help? I will travel to location/house for test.

Thanks in advance.

Ryan

Do you have the wheels and tyres Ryan or are you looking for someone that already does?

Sorry, I am looking for someone that has that combo already. As I wanna purchase the combo if it fits correctly.

I doubt on the car the rears will fit without raising the height, but the fronts should fit fine as is. Have 15x7 205/50R15s currently and wanna see if I can push the limits a little bit more. Don't wanna go and spending $1600 on rims and tyres to find out the combo dont fit well enough/correctly.

I know it's a little more work, but have you considered a tape measure?

I've got 15x8 6ULs (offset +35) with 225/45/15 Toyo R1Rs on my SE that you could try if Saturday arvo is OK - I'm in Morningside, Brisbane.

Way past that stage. Done that already. Hence why I'm at the point of trying this, as all measurements pointed to very close tolerances/space.
