New Fabric Roof

Postby Robbo » Tue Mar 15, 2011 11:34 am

I have a 10AE and am thinking of replacing the existing roof with a new fabric (Blue) roof.
Where is the best place to get one? From the US or UK? Are they a good fit? Is it a good idea to get new rain rails? What price can I expect to pay delivered?
I have heard it is a bugger of a job to do, and would much prefer it be fitted by someone who knows what they are doing. I reside in Melbourne (east side) so if someone knows someone who can do a good job I would appreciate their contact details etc.
Any information greatly received.

I would suggest that you talk to Dick Richey at the MX5 factory to give you some info on this subject.

The vinyl roof on my car was bought from CabrioWorld a few years ago, and it seems to be just as good a quality as the OEM roof. It was bought and fitted by the previous owner. I'm in the eastern suburbs as well, PM me if you want to see it some time :)
