Ok, Question time.
Do you have aftermarket cams or are you planing on playing with the std units?
Do you have an aftermarket ecu?
The reasons I ask is you can use adjustable gears on a std motor but you need to understand that its takes a fair bit of time to adjust the gears if your running a std rocker cover. On my first dyno tune we had the rocker off probably 4 or 5 times just farting around to see what and where we could improve. This was after the cams were dialed in after the refresh!!!At $150 per hour it can run up your cost The adjustments on the cam gears will allow you to vary the torque loads by altering your overlap. Usually only the exhaust cam is altered unless you have gone mad with heads work etc. It also allows with an aftermarket ecu the ability to tune to suit the different tracks you want to play on by again altering where and at what end of the rpm you want the torque to be.
Would I worry about this on a roady, Nah!!! tooo much farking around for "some" improvements, but on a track queen certainly helps.
They do LOOK pretty though

Re: na6 adjustable cam gears
Adjustable cam gears help you to widen the cam angle , tighten it, advance and retard it. In essence widenign it helps broaden torque curve, tightening tends to comcentrate it over a point and advance/retard moves it up and down the rev range. You SHOULDNT need adjustable with aftermarket cams because they should already be right for you just like you asked for and paid for.... But yeah i still have them.
