Re: WTF Are You Wearing To Berry Run - Sun 20 March 2011
Hi guys!
I know it is a bit late notice but I'm interested in making this my first group run ever!
Just don't know a few things, I already live in the illawarra so is it possible to join in near maquarie pass? Or maybe is there already someone from down here that I can drive with upto the meet point?
Plus my girlfriend is interested in comming, am I allowed to bring her if I come and "IF" I can drag her out of bed!
Oh and how eccentric does the costume have to be?

I'll be solo this time, but I usually bring my boyfriend along to club or informal runs and everyone is always very welcoming
As for how extravagant the costume can be, the point is to wear something ridiculously embarrassing or something that will make people ask "WTF are you wearing?". I like to subscribe to the idea "better to be overdressed than underdressed" That said, it needs to be practical enough for you to be able to drive (top down), and to have breakfast at Berry. And if you do bring your girlfriend, make sure she gets into the spirit too!
See you all on the 20th.

Oh I so want to go!!! I guess it just depends whether or not I make it to the finals of the corporate games since the finals are on the 20th as well. I may have to feign an injury or commit an act of sabotage but I'll put myself down as pending.

Awesome the GLW and I will be doing a road trip up from Melb camping along the way and will be in in Sydney on the 20th. don't know if we have room for a costume but I'm sure we can find an op shop.
Can someone add our name, iPhone won't let me scroll down... Cheers

Hey guys any ideas of a good cheap place to stay for the 19th and 20th? Preferably close to where the run starts.
Cheers Craig and Jenn

http://www.sutherlandshireaustralia.com ... s.asp?id=4 has some ideas for local accommodation.
Engadine Motel is right near the meeting point, as is the Heathcote Hotel/Motel.

Re: WTF Are You Wearing To Berry Run - Sun 20 March 2011
UPDATE
This run is now an official club run. All that means for you is you need to sign on in the morning and as always, be aware that you are representing the club and the general MX5 community. Non club members are more than welcome to join the run.
After discussing it with Michael (our run leader) we have decided to skip the National Park as it will be dark and there are far too many bicycle riders at that time of the morning.
If you get separated from the group or arrive late and wish to meet us, the best place would be at the foot of Macquarie Pass. Failing that, join us at Berry where we will stop for a rather colourful breakfast where the locals will stare at us, generally point and even laugh at us.
Hope you all have your costumes ready.
