I'm not exactly sure what their target market is but i sure don't think its meant to be for MX5s 89-97. Reasons?
1 Asking price
2 How many 89-97s are rolling on 20" (which are apparently required) The damn rotor is 16"!!!
3 Brakes are meant to help handling and not add half the cars weight.
I have no beef with this product, i'm sure it does its job perfectly fine however i do think it slides into the excessive/silly catagory especially since the rotors are bigger than most of the earlier models stock rims.

My car has got something similar on the front...10 pot Tarox brakes. The rears are stock though and the balance seems okay and there is no trouble stopping the thing so I dont know why you would put a big upgrade on the rear, the rears barely do anything anyway!

only reason I can think of is when your drag racing and have to hold the car on the line engine stalling agaist the convertor for the fast time, Not my interest , but it makes other smile (retards)
