If you're ever in Perth I'll take you for a drive and show you how much fun 200 hp can be in an 1100kg car that also corners like it's on rails...

Seriously, I don't think this car needs any more.

I have a 150rwhp 870 kg NA So i get it, but an nb with a t25 and a megasquirt and intercooler will make 200 like its nothing for cheap as. Thats all I was getting at, surprised you have a new technology 2litre with Cosworth parts an a full build make relatively little power.

I'm also surprised it only makes 200RWHP.
I thought it would be more like 300, like my SP.

Canit be wound up any further?

I can get a smaller pulley for more boost, but I'm having too much fun with it right now to mess with it - and the car has seen enough workshop time in the last 6 months to last me a decade!

Anyway, my first motorsport event (supercharged) was Today - Round 4 of the MX-5 Club sprint series. I had a blast!

My racing lines are far from perfect - and after reviewing footage of the day, it's apparent my gear changes can do with some work too! Hitting the rev limiter in every gear didn't help either. I miss those extra 900rpm!

It was only my second event on this track so I'm very pleased with the result.

Speaking of footage, here she is going flat out. I could listen to that whine allll day

What's with the missing 900rpm?
Is that a limit you've placed on yourself?

Need to go back for the final tune - they got it tuned up to 6900rpm then ran out of time, so it is limited at that for now. Better than the 3800 it was at before :)

I've also been flat out @ work and in the middle of an office move so I haven't had the time to bring the car back to get it tuned up to the old 7800rpm limit.

It will happen! I'm in no rush. As I said before, having too much fun to worry about the details :D

Ahhh I see, I forgot thatr yours is an NC2 and have the extra rpm.
Mine hits the limiter at 7200 and I can't get that dialed up with the Xede so I'll be using that even after the CW is installed.
Probably a good thing till I find the cash to build a 'real' engine like yours....or at least drop in a later crank.
I've already said that I'd like another 500rpm and can get that with a later ECU...but at a crazy price.
Might warrant investment in a standalone...later.

You're gonna pee your pants with joy when you hear that thing at nearly 8000!!
