I posted this on the chat page and realised there is a suspension section so I am posting here also.
I spoke to Wholesale Suspension and they have some Boge shocks that are standard replacement (not sports) which they reckon will give similar characteristics to the Mazda shocks with standard springs. I want to maintain the ride quality.
They also have a lifetime warranty which is attractive to me.
The NC version is a new line and won't be here for a month or so.
Any of you NA or NB guys tried these and could give me an opinion?

Re: Boge shocks
I can't help with Boge fitment on an MX5, but they were the OEM shock on many 911s over the years. The shocks on my car are nearly 30 years old and are still in fantastic condition; possibly why they are willing to offer a lifetime warranty!
I think either Boge or KYB would make a great replacement for worn standard units.
