1800 conversion

Hey guys I've searched around and yeah there are answers on here but can someone tell me or link me to what EXACTLY is required in a 1600-1800 conversion?
My tired b6 is getting a little old now and instead of replacing with a long nose b6, I'd rather put a bp under the bonnet instead.

What I'm curious about is will everything line up properly, can I reuse my radiator and engine mounts, blah blah. Basically, what can I keep from my b6 and what do I need to acquire to get this to run. So far I know it will fit since the na6 and 8 have the same body but aside from engine capacity etc, it seems quite similar when you take out the exhaust and inlet manifolds, air flow meter and gearbox.

Even a link to miata.net whatever. This is going to my mechanic brother to look at to see what he's up against.

Are you planning to run the stock NA6 ECU or swap it for a latter model? I believe flyin miata and MX5plus both have kits for a conversion using your existing gear. Typically they reuse the NA6 throttle body using an adapter.

The NA6 gearbox will likely work with the BP motor as B6 motors work with the later model gearboxes.

Its a lot easier to simply replace with a long nose unless your willing to change all the wiring in the car.

Unless you plan to keep it fairly stock as you will run into problems if you want to look at aftermarket ECUs or forced induction

Hmm, well the plan was to potentially supercharge the BP

Then as far as I am aware you may have problems however I haven't done it myself just did a fair bit of research
