Wastegate arm hitting dump pipe, begi-s kit

Postby enzosRus » Sun Jan 23, 2011 11:03 am

I installed a boost guage yesterday as i just installed a begi s kit in my na6 a couple weeks ago and i could feel it was overboosting after about 6000rpm. It stays steady at 5psi then from 6000rpm creeps upto 7.5. I pulled the wastegate actuator off to test the wastegate movement manually to find it hardly moves as the pivot arm that the actuator pushes on hits the mounting plate on the dump pipe. Has anyone else had this problem? I was thinking of just cutting the plate down a bit as theres a fair chunk of metal before you hit the turbo outlet but there should be another fix as this is a kit and should just fit as is.

Take some photo's and send them to Begi and ask them? It might be a known problem that they have a fix for.
