My NB8A power window on the passenger side doesn't go all the way up, it stops about 8-10mm short. Luckily it goes up just far enough to touch the soft top rubber & therefore seals from water, but the window doesn't go all the way up into the rubber 'pocket' at the top of the window rubber at the front. On the drivers side the rubber 'pocket' has been torn, like the window either went too far or the rubber has failed due to old age. Both windows go up at pretty much the same speed. Is there a way to make a small adjustment to the window so it rises that little way further? Is there a 'stopper' inside the door that controls how far the window goes up, that can be adjusted? Would like to have some idea before I pull the door apart! Cheers all,
Mike

Re: NB8A -Window not winding all the way up
What happens when the window stops? Does it just stop immediately, or does it slowly stop like it's grinding it a halt? If it's slowly stopping, it could be the mechanism getting caught on the power window wire. I had this happen on my driver's side window where it would grind to a halt about halfway on the way down. Turns out the power window cable was getting caught under the mechanism and not letting the window go all the way down.
It doesn't really sound quite the same since mine was on the way down, but it could be worth checking out. Just take the door trim off and have a bit of a dig in there with your hand to see if anything might be getting in the way.

No, it goes up as per normal but stops short. There's nothing obvious in the window guides so it looks like a door trim-off scenario. Cheers
