Alignment and Suspension work in Melbourne?

Postby miatalim » Sun Jan 09, 2011 10:36 am

Hi guys,

I want to get my NB alignment locked in to some street performance values recommended by MX5 manuals. Can you guys recommend someone in the South East suburbs?

I picked up my NB8A second hand and it has done 92,000km. At how many kms do you start looking at changing the various suspension components: bushing, coilover, etc ?

Thanks

Lyndon

Given you are very near 100k your timing belt should be high on your priority list IMO for the 100k change BTW.

Certainly 100k would also be a very good time to re asses the suspension as well IMO especially if you plan on some spirited driving, some say 40k is about the stock shock limits, im just doing mine at 150k and it really needs it badly!

In hindsight i would of preferred to do mine at 100k, no doubt about it, i certainly would not recommend anyone go as long as i have without changing any suspension parts.

I'm sure some of the Melbourne guys can offer you some suggestions on the best place to get your car sorted. 8)

For wheel alignments I can personally recommend Craig @ Trackside Race & Rally located in Kilsyth Tel. 9761 5557.

I'd recommend wide tread in ferntree gulley, good guys who are happy to do alignment to your own specs, and also well priced.
