If we are driving through Windsor, why arent we just meeting at the McDonalds there??
To get to Windsor McDonalds you have to pass a Caltex, Shell and Mobil.....
Think I'll aim to meet you guys there, the m4 is stupidly out of my way.

Looking at the Google map route, it looks like we'll only pass Windsor on the way back?!

Might be saver to just meet with everyone at Caltex then at 5:30am.

Can 1 person from the group that is meeting us at Windsor leave a mobile so we can give you a call to see which way we're going? (looks like it'll be one of those things that we just 'wing' it)

Also - if the main group is gathering at Caltex at 0530 for a 0600 departure, we won't get to Windsor until... 0630? (so be prepared to wait a little while )

route map says windsor on way back. will be a long wait if you are heading there first? I was going to meet at penrith on way through as per route map . If this has changed I would like to know?

I'm not sure what is going on with google maps....

As mentioned before it's a run from the m4 near penrith through the blue mountains national park then to the mountain.

There will be a group meeting at the caltex tomorrow and we can iron out any probs!

Lets make it the:

*530am meet for a 6am take off at the Caltex Service station on the M4 (west bound, ie on the way to the Penrith/Blue Mountains).

*We will do the route that Cass put up.

Cass's route starts and finishes at Windsor.
That's what I am planning on doing tomorrow.
This is all very confusing.
I'll see you guys in the morning if everyone finds their way.

The main group will meet at Caltex at 5:30am and we'll leave for Windsor at 6am sharp to join with the people who are closer to Windsor.

Hi All,

Sorry to hijack your route hethro87, but IMO the drive from Eastern Creek Maccas/Caltex to Hartley is fairly boring.

What we plan on doing is meet @ Windsor Maccas @ 5:30am for a 6am departure. If you guys want join up with us let me know by 5:45am so we can wait for you. From Windsor we would head up Bell Line through to Lithgow/Hartley, through to Jenolans caves, through to Oberon via Edith and then to Bathurst.

This is the ammended google maps route

Let me know before 5:45am if you'll be joining us @ Windsor. Otherwise we'll meet @ Jenolan Caves about 2 hours from departure, 8am-8:30am.
