My Black NB8A

Thought I would introduce myself and the car.
I bought the car off my parents who will soon be moving down 7-8kms of (very rough) dirt road. I was looking to upgrade from my first car (a 93 Daihatsu Charade) and they wanted to sell the MX-5. Problem solved itself really...
It is a 99 NB8A with 125000kms on it, fairly stock with a X-Force rear muffler, aftermarket iPod stereo, upgraded speakers and soon to have a 8" sub fitted. A prevous owner has tried to polish/buff it with a product that has left THOUSANDS of fine sratches all over the body. Also mum lost an argument with a guard rail on Kangaroo Valley a few years ago leaving the drivers side front guard dented and scuffed. Then about a week after I got the car someone who doesn't know how big their car is ran in to the front bumper :roll:

So list of things to do:
Fix all body/paintwork
Replace soft top (faded and has a tear just behind my ear)
Re-gas AC

After this the mods can start:
Mania CAI
Koni Yellows
Eibach Pro Springs
GV lip
Factory side skirts
949 6UL in 15" x 7" in either black or nickel finish
Brown Davis rollbar

It will be my daily driver with the occasional track day (until I finish my Lotus 7 replica track car). Pics when the car is clean and it isn't raining.

Welcome. If you're interested in track days, have you looked into joining the NSW MX5 club yet?

Already a member of the Clubman Drivers Club of Aus (CDCofA). Although I may look at coming over. I do know that the NSW MX-5 club runs a good event.

Not yet car is filthy dirty and its been raining all week. Plus have been working 2 jobs so not much time either.

Definatly 'sounds' faster, feels a little punchier in the midrange although haven't had much chance to test it with all the traffic around here at Chrissy/New years :roll:
