NB softop inside flap

Postby slug_dub » Sun Nov 28, 2010 2:37 pm

Have exchanged the old ratty NA softop for an NB glass window top this weekend, and the inside of the top has a large flap sewn in just behind the third hoop that velcroes just infront of the first hoop:

I am unsure of how this piece is supposed to fit, as it seems to hang quite low as I have it outside of the hoops, and I wasn't sure if it was supposed to be wedged between the softop and the hoops. Please can anyone give some insight into this part of the top? I don't even know what its purpose is...

It is meant to sit between the hoops and the canvas, i think it's there for noise insulation and to make it look a bit nicer insider. I'll go out and take a photo of how mine fits.

Its there for heat insulation, if you notice it is directly above your head, and if you feel the temperature under there and compare it to the temperature in front of the flap on a ot day you will feel a noticeable difference.
