are you really keen on the design and weight of the RPF1?
If it's not too big of a deal, and unless I am mistaken, the tyre shop near me has a great deal on a set of Enkei wheels.
I think it may have been the LS-5, and it was priced at only $175 per rim

It probably has a normal offset and is not light, but the price makes up for it.

If interested, call Keith 4 Wheels.

I have kinda promised myself that I will do every mod once but do it right (to my thoughts anyway) the first time no matter the cost or timeframe and have my heart set on the RPF1s or Advan RGIIs to name 2 on my list of about 6. The offsets are the sticking point however I am booked to Japan in Feb so I might just wait until then. The car looks quite 'bitsy' at present but I'm happy to wait instead of wasting money on interim mods in the meantime. Thanks for the heads up though - I might pop down and have a chat anyways.

It's been over 15 months since my last update so maybe time for some pics. Feel free to excuse the quality / lack of artistic ability. (The final pic was quickly done by a mate when he dropped by).

Major mods since the last update include BC Coilovers, partial badge removal, 949 Racing 15x8 6ULs, 205/50/15 Kumho KU36 tyres and K&N CAI. I have a Sparco Sprint sitting in the garage and as far as visuals go I think I'm done. The goal was to achieve a super clean daily and I think I'm there (In my opinion anyway).

From here I'll mod the brakes and keep it looking brand new. Might also do some more km's as I only clocked over 57k the other day.

Now back to GT5!

Those wheels look the goods! What offset, i'm thinking +25 or maybe you are using spacers.

Color combo fantastic, the previous wheels looked like this:

Exactly. +36 without any spacers. Not aggresive by any means but no rubbing anywhere makes me a happy camper.

Another long wait between updates...

The car is pretty much complete now with no aspect of the car really left untouched. I won't even try to list the parts added since the last update however recently I have upgraded the pads to QFM A1RM, rotors to DBA T2s, braided lines and race fluid.

My dad is a car detailer so we recently spent the day applying a new paint protection product that he has acquired. It's a ceramic coating by a company called opti-coat. We have used many many different paint protection products in the past and this one easily trumps them all.

The pics hopefully show the depth of the paint and how well it reflects. Not bad for a 98 model!
