Hoping someone can help with identifying an orphaned connector.
Checking at the front of the car today (about to replace horn when new one arrives) I noticed a thin black cable with the same connector as the current one connected to the horn dangling down inside the recess in front of the radiator.
The cable the leads to the horn (left side) runs along the metal strut to the right side and disappears somewhere near the light assembly. It is taped to the metal strut in 2 places with black tape - one lot about 30cms from the horn and one lot just before the cable disappears over on the right.
From the taped down cable over on the right, the orphaned cable appears and is just dangling down in the space behind.
It appears to have a similar connector to the connector on the horn cable (and the cable appears the same also (black and same thickness)).
Any ideas as to what the purpose of this 2nd connector is?
Could it be for the horn?
Could I connect another horn to this cable (i.e. have 2 horns)?
Is it meant for another purpose?
Any and all ideas/help is appreciated.
Horn connector?

Seems I can't edit the original post.
Forgot to add, the car is a 1990/91 NA6.

Re: Horn connector?
Hey mate,
That wire certainly is for a second horn. Back in the olden days when Benny was younger you could tick a box on the order form and actually have an extra horn so that someone could hear you when you pressed the button!!!!
If you have ordered another horn fit it as well and be heard or "be horny"

Re: Horn connector?
Hey Terry!
Many thanks for the info.
Am awaiting an order from IL Motorsports and included is this horn:-

Just looking at it again - looks like it's actually 2 horns (didn't realise that when I ordered) so having the 2 connectors will certainly come in handy. Be interesting to see how they sound (got to be better than the noddy car horn it has now).
Thanks again for the info.
Ralph
