Not yet, I'm just doing up a list of what I'll need.

Looking at: http://cgi.ebay.com.au/Pioneer-AVH-P425 ... 5886fc96a5

So need to find faceplate, the adapter for steering wheel controls, wiring harness.

Autobarn have these things but they want to charge through the teeth for them so looking at US shops instead :D

I've got a spare brand new one of these.
http://cgi.ebay.com.au/Metra-99-7506-Ma ... 5630cd2989

It is missing the part which is the trim around the stereo. It means you will need to use the trim that comes with the stereo. It has the single din trim but not double din

This is what I mean by trim.

Hey Schultzy,

I'm still deciding on whether to purchase a NC MX-5, but will replace the stereo as well.

Just wandering how much did Autobarn charge for the faceplate, the adapter for steering wheel controls and wiring harness?

Preferring to let the professionals work their magic, if I supply a car specialist (Autobarn etc) with the headset, the faceplate, the adapter for steering wheel controls and wiring harness, they can easily install it for me?

Let us know how you go, and if you could link us with where you purchase everything, I would be very grateful :D

Cheers
