Hey guys,
My soft top side window seals leak like crazy whenever it rains, which means I use the hardtop nearly all the time. Since it's starting to get hot, I want to have the option of going convertible whenever I like, preferably without getting soaked with the roof up when it rains. I've fiddled with the seals to no avail, so I started looking at purchasing new seals. I've heard that NB soft top side window seals are supposed to be much better than NA one's, which lead me to wonder:
Will NB soft top side window seals fit an NA?
And if any modifications are necessary, what might they involve?
Thanks for any input, Kieren

Just speculating, but given the softtops are interchangeable with minor mods, suggests sealing would be ok, which just leaves how the seal itself attaches to the soft-top - if they attach the same & at the same points then it will probably work. These might be of some use:

I'd think the way the seals attach might be different. Have rooted my back so can't pull the hard top off the NA to check for you.
Have you checked to see if your tension cables or springs haven't snapped? That sounds like the obvious problem.

If you had access to a car like this, would you take it back right away? Neither would I.

Re: NB soft top side window seals onto NA?
Thanks for the replies and sorry for my late one, I've been on holidays.
93_Clubman, those links are great, thanks for that. That was my reasoning too.
Okibi, I haven't done that and I'm not sure how to but I'll go have a look, thanks. If the mounts are different, I'll see if there's anyway way I can make them fit.
I've got some cheap second hand NB seals on the way, so I'll post in here whether they fit or not if I remember to.
Cheers, Kieren
