I don't like wings
I don't like rear wings
They spoil the purity of the curvaceous gorgeous mx5 shape.
They make the car look dumpy
They add weight
They do not work (well the little pieces of plastic that mazdaspeed supply don't or OEM or aftermarket jobbies which add a bit of bling but do you really believe that they were designed by racing engineers, come on wake up and smell the coffee.Does not apply to monster Carbon Fibre race car wings, they do work)
You have to desecrate the curvaceous (gee that's a sexy word) rear (NB only - come on NA get a GV nostalgic conversion)
boot by making holes in it. Sacrilege!!!
I just bought one
I need help.
Russell, with the golfball dimples, you understand.

Sometimes when the planets come into alignment, mere humans cannot resist, I was actually searching for rims, bought a rear wing, go figure. Drumroll, will post pics when fitted. Me likey likey velly much.

It is not a rhetorical question. I don't like wings.

Good job on the ugly spoiler and kudos for making a pointless bitch thread just to fuel your own ego

Whoa, touched a nerve there, nasty. This was just an offbeat way to introduce the debate as to whether rear wings were worthwhile. Mazda has had various fashion excuses for sticking on bits of flat plastic for years right up to the feeble effort on the SE.
I wanted to know what people thought. Maybe other people love their wings. I bought a slick wing on a whim, which I will fit and if I think it looks 'ugly' I will take it off. No big deal.
So far there has been very little opinion posted and tons of snide remarks from other people. I stated my case cogently (if in tongue in cheek fashion) at the beginning. Maybe I should have said, "Eastern Staters who take themselves too seriously and have no sense of humour need not apply"
So nanotech and mxsp nobody is forcing you here, make a positive contribution or go read something written by someone in Sydney if you swing that way.

Re: I don't like wings
Agreed, I don't like wings or spoilers but I'm not going to take it off and leave 2 ugly holes there . Love W.A. Can't wait to get over there again

I agree. Although we do both seem to have incredibly good taste in model, colour and 'spoiler'!
