RGS Labs FW1 Cleaning Wax

Hello, anyone used this? opinions? My missus got conned into buying a can, thinking about giving it a go. Have read some online reviews but they mostly look sponsored so totally compromised.

My mate got conned as well LOL..

However, I did try using it and it was pretty good! I liked the fact that you can clean absolutely everything.. I used it for everything! glass, interior, leather, tyres, rims and exterior! Not too bad but not sure about pricing as I didnt buy it.

My mate runs a workshop and they use this stuff on customer cars, he reckons it is great stuff.
They buy direct from the distributor at a fairly cheap price.

A sales team from these guys wander round the area my work is in every month or so. I let one of them do a demo on my car and to be honest I was impressed with what it does and how easy it is to use....but I'm not going to buy any.
It's expensive and you use a lot of it to do the whole car so it doesnt go very far. I'm not convinced you can use it to replace a proper wash with water and soap and would probably damage your paint if you used it on heavy dirt. If you really care about how your car looks then it would be good to use between washes.

I didnt use, I think "If it sounds too good to be true, it isnt" might apply to this stuff and i wasnt prepared to use it on my new wheel. I did some more searching, there are alot of people who love it, but no real feed back from any long term users. To me that says more then the short term fan bouys ever could.

I went the old route, bucket of meguiars soft wash and a crystal wax.

Going to hand it back to the missus, tell her to use it on the shower glass, see what we get there

Yeah its a good product tgat people would pay its retail price any day if ut had a meguires logo on it.

I bought a pack some time ago to try and was quite impressed. Expensive for what it is, but very easy to use and like the ad says, you can apply it on paint, wheels, windows etc. Good for a quick once over.

I've been using spray waxes (Meguiars and Eagle1) of late, and it's a bitch when you get some of that stuff on your glass. Then you've got to use glass cleaner, RainX etc etc.

With FW1 - the one product does it all. But like Dann says, it ain't Meguairs so everyone is suspicious.

Of course, no single product can POSSIBLY do it better than the 1001 specialised products that do super-specific stuff right? Well it can't but it does most of it pretty well.

I wasn't suspicious for that reason, I was suspicious because it seems to be sold by annoying guys who come over and pounce on you while you're at the servo filling up.


it seemed to do ok, from what I could see when they used it some other guys car, but I personally don't like spray waxes.
I find it difficult to get an even coat without wastage/missing bits.

I'm a paste wax guy, wipe on, start to haze, wipe off.

Anyway, I get what you are saying about annoying sales people. Part of the reason I did buy it was just to get rid of them, though I was quite impressed with the product - it also works as an anti-fog on the inside of your windscreen!

In terms of not getting the spray wax in the right place - but it really comes out as a foam, so it does spread quite easily.

There are many spray and wipe waxes that are quite good to use between or instead of a thorough polishing and waxing. Meguiars quik detailer etc. You can often use them on a dusty car but I never spray and wipe like they instruct as you get the stuff on glass etc. as someone mentioned earlier.

I always spray a liberal amount on to a terry cloth or foam pad and wipe it on then rub it off with a clean terry cloth and this works for me.

It doesn't last long but doesn't take long to do either as you don't need to wash the car first provided it is only dusty.

On that note, I have found FW1 to last much longer than Meguairs and Eagle1's quick wax products.

Another supermarket type product I've found very good is Nu-Finish, that "once a year" polish. Very easy to apply, and keeps water beaded for a decent amount of time. However, won't help if you are trying to restore shine.

I've got it and I use it to clean my glass and its the best glass cleaner I have ever seen.
The girl that sold it to me was the best sales girl in the world as well. GRRRRRRRRRRR
I wouldn't let them spray it on an unwashed car door though like she wanted too.
